To be Achilles or not to be Achilles?
If I had the same choice as Achilles - to either live into old age anonymous or die in my early twenties and be insanely famous for the next 2,ooo years - I would choose to lead an anonymous, but fulfilling life to a ripe old age. I have to admit that the prospect of being insanely famous is appealing, but the best part of being famous is being alive to enjoy the ride. Also, there are so many things I want to experience in life, and there is absolutely no way I could experience even a small fraction of them by the time I am in my early twenties. Another justification for growing old without fame is that no one is ever truely anonymous. The people that make up my life make me feel like I am already famous, and although I sometimes dream of being famous on a larger scale, it's enough for me to be known by the people I see everyday.
